Take an Introductory Flight Lesson!
Start Your Aviation Journey with an Introductory Flight Lesson
There’s no better way to discover if flying is for you than to get behind the controls yourself! Your Introductory Flight Lesson begins with a 30-minute, hands-on discussion about aircraft operations, flight basics, and safety—followed by 30 minutes in the air where you are in control under the guidance of a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). The best part? Every minute of your flight can be logged toward your pilot’s license.
Before takeoff, you’ll join your instructor for a pre-flight inspection, learning how to check the aircraft and understand its systems. We’ll also walk you through what flight training involves, from medical requirements and security regulations to realistic timelines and costs. Along the way, you can ask any questions you have about becoming a pilot.
Then comes the moment you’ve been waiting for—flying over the stunning Berkshires, feeling the thrill, freedom, and perspective only a cockpit can provide.
The FAA’s rules for earning a pilot’s license vary depending on the type of aircraft you choose—airplanes, helicopters, gliders, gyroplanes, balloons, or even airships. No matter your choice, your first step is simple: take that Introductory Flight and see where your aviation dreams can take you.
